The first wooden family inn of Maria and Wojciech Tyc was built in 1894.
In 1936, Maria Tyc and her son Edward began the construction of the Beskid Hotel. The grand opening of the facility took place in August 1939. It housed a restaurant and confectionery on the ground floor, and above a dance hall and hotel rooms. The building was equipped with modern catering facilities, a lift and beautiful tiled stoves. With the outbreak of war, the owner, Edward Tyc, was drafted into the National Defence Company Milowka and took part in the battles near Jordanów.
The hotel was taken over by the Germans and turned into a military base for Luftwaffe officers.
After their withdrawal, it was ruined by the Red Army. After the war, in 1945, the restaurant was renovated and opened. Edward Tyc was solicited to join the Communist Party, but for vain, he refused. After several months of pursuing him, he was arrested. The property was illegally taken over by the Municipal Cooperative. In 1985, after a long struggle, the restaurant was reopened in partially recovered buildings.
Danuta and Wincenty Tyc continue the family tradition. Restored to its former glory, the Beskid Hotel attracts guests from all over the world with its atmosphere.
